Are you a strategic dealmaker with deep experience in energy markets? AEP is looking for a seasoned professional to help drive wholesale growth and build lasting partnerships across the energy landscape.
In this role, you’ll:
✅ Develop and expand relationships with utilities, cooperatives, municipalities and energy marketers
✅ Originate and structure complex wholesale power deals, including capacity, energy and renewable products
✅ Lead RFP responses, pricing strategies and contract negotiations (including PPAs)
✅ Partner across internal teams—Trading, Risk, Legal, Credit and more—to bring deals to execution
✅ Own customer relationships end-to-end, from origination through ongoing account management
✅ Represent AEP at key industry events and help shape market opportunities
We’re looking for candidates with 10+ years of energy industry experience, a strong understanding of organized markets (PJM, MISO, ERCOT, SPP) and a proven ability to deliver results in complex, fast-moving environments.
