We offer a complete suite of services to energy-intensive retail customers, from energy supply and hedging to on-site generation management and demand response. And we provide wholesale market access and ISO interface services to a broad network of retail energy providers with footprints across the deregulated markets. For power generation customers, we provide energy management services that encompass fuel supply, scheduling, dispatch, market analysis and risk management all within a single contract. Focused on service, we created a digital integrated platform and customer interface that allows transparent views into energy portfolios and invoices, market prices, analytics and weather.

The Opportunity
VP Power Origination, reports to SVP Power Origination

Responsibilities
- Sourcing power opportunities in supply, market or capacity which generate accretive value for the organization
- Build and maintain profitable relationships in the Northeast Power Markets
- Identify and close structured transactions by fostering them across the organization to ensure organizational support.
- Lead and participate in all business planning and strategic initiatives for the Northeast power region
- Direct a team to drive commercial market value
- Create and maintain hedging relationships with external businesses with a focus on renewable energy sources and Private Equity clients
- Accountable for the development of the midstream and downstream portfolios
- Develop an executive business plan that is executable with platform resources and expertise.
- Ensuring compliance with the Business Transaction Policy
- Track, evaluate and report team performance
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other Business concentration required; Advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 5 – 10 years of progressively responsible power experience in deal structuring and interaction with customers across the spectrum from production to consumption.
- Demonstrate ability to consistently produce P&L
- Proven track record of innovation, creativity and success in closing customer business
- Able to understand and adjust to changing market conditions
- Self-motivated, team player, which is able to work in an open trade floor environment
- Proven ability to influence others
