The North American Energy Markets Association is posting this RFP on behalf of our member Xcel Energy Inc. and their subsidiary Southwestern Public Service Company.
Southwestern Public Service Company (“Southwestern” or “SPS”), an operating company subsidiary of Xcel Energy Inc., is issuing this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) in solicitation of Firm and Deliverable Capacity. The RFP details the SPS preferred delivery periods and associated terms and conditions.
Summary Requirements
· Proposals should cover the period of June 1, 2026 through March 31, 2028
· SPS is focused on resources available over the Winter and Summer Periods, but will consider proposals offering shorter or longer periods
· Proposals must cover a minimum of one Period
· Proposals should be for a minimum of 25 MWs and maximum of 200 MWs
