The North American Energy Markets Association is posting this RFP on behalf of our member ACES and their client CIPCO.
On behalf of Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO), ACES is conducting an all-source capacity Request for Proposals (RFP). The purpose of the RFP is to solicit and procure future capacity needs for CIPCO in MISO for Planning Years 2026/2027 through 2029/2030.
CIPCO is a Generation and Transmission (G&T) cooperative owned by 13 member-owner rural electric cooperatives and associations in Iowa. CIPCO serves over 300,000 rural and urban residents and 13,000 small and large commercial and industrial customers across 58 counties in Iowa. CIPCO has annual sales of over 3,000,000 MWh and a peak load of approximately 660 MW.
CIPCO is issuing this RFP to secure bilateral capacity to meet the future needs of its self-managed portfolio in MISO Zone 3.
