ACES/United – RFP for Power Supply

Published:October 2, 2026

The North American Energy Markets Association is posting this RFP on behalf of our member ACES and their client United Cooperative Services.

On behalf of United Cooperative Services, ACES is conducting an ERCOT power supply request for proposals (RFP).

United Cooperative Services (United) is a not-for-profit electric distribution cooperative serving approximately 114,000 electric meters and more than 35,000 fiber internet subscribers across portions of 14 counties in North and Central Texas. United operates within the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) market and serves a growing mix of residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural load. In 2025, United sold over 3 million MWh of electricity and experienced meter growth of 3.03%, marking its sixth consecutive year of growth above 3%. United actively manages its wholesale power supply and market exposure through long-term contracting and strategic market purchases, focusing on maintaining competitive and stable power costs for its members. United’s service territory continues to experience significant load growth, including interest from large-load customers, such as data centers, creating additional long-term power supply and capacity needs.
