Basin Electric Issues Request for Proposal
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bismarck, N.D. – Basin Electric Power Cooperative is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for renewables, capacity, and energy in the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) and Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) Zone 1 or 3.

Basin Electric is seeking Request for Proposal in three areas:

  1. Renewables, Capacity, and Energy in the Southwest Power Pool (SPP).
  2. Renewables, Capacity, and Energy in the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) Zone 1.
  3. Renewables and Capacity in the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) Zone 3.

Basin Electric continues to need additional resources to meet its forecasted load obligations and supports an all of the above resource alternative approach to meet those obligations.

The notice of intent to bid will be due to Basin Electric on Jan. 11, 2022.

Proposals received prior to 5 p.m. CST on Jan. 28, 2022 will be considered under this RFP.
