NAEMA’s 2021 Fall Conference – Cancellation Notice

Published:August 25, 2021

Yesterday afternoon, NAEMA’s Board of Directors made the very difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Fall Conference, to be hosted by Customized Energy Solutions at The Logan in Philadelphia. As much as we desired to put on a great conference true to NAEMA’s reputation, with the rise in COVID cases and hospitalizations due to the Delta variant, protecting the health, safety, and well-being of everyone involved in the Conference is our highest priority. Moreover, the number of remaining or reinstituted company-imposed travel restrictions (for attendees, speakers, and sponsors) and required COVID-driven modifications would have greatly compromised our ability to deliver a quality conference on par with attendee expectations.

Many thanks to Customized Energy Solutions for their flexibility and willingness to roll-over their sponsorship to the 2023 Spring Conference. Their ongoing support is greatly appreciated!! We will be reaching out to our other very generous sponsors of the 2021 Fall Conference in the next few days to ascertain a path forward for their support. We want to reiterate how important your support is and how greatly we appreciate it.

In order to provide the networking and education/industry update value you’ve come to expect from NAEMA, we will continue our Virtual Presentation Series, beginning with the great panels we had lined up for Philadelphia. We will also begin to host smaller regional in-person networking opportunities – weather and pandemic permitting – in the very near future. Potential initial locations include Minneapolis, Chicago and Denver, proceeding to other locations as soon as practicable. Please watch your email, the NAEMA website, and LinkedIn for details.

NAEMA’s next conference will be the 2022 Spring Conference, sponsored by Uniper, at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines in Austin, Texas April 19-21. Further details regarding that conference will be announced later this year. The Lost Pines is a beautiful resort with plenty of outdoor space and should be just perfect in the late Texas spring. We’re hopeful that conditions will have stabilized before then such that we can go back to the holding the caliber of conferences consistent with NAEMA’s proud tradition.

Thank you for your understanding in these challenging times and your continued support of NAEMA.  Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
