About Snapper Creek Energy Advisors, LLC
Snapper Creek Energy Advisors (“Snapper”) works with clients to facilitate successful commercialization of projects and execution of transactions (buy- or sell-side) by structuring and executing commodity hedges in order to support financing, optimize the capital structure and maximize returns.
Snapper was founded in 2014 by Chris Elrod and Rohit Ogra. Anubhav Agarwal, a 15-year Citi commodities veteran, joined as Partner in 2020. Together, the principals of Snapper have advised on over 8,500 MW of greenfield thermal and renewable generation across the various ISOs in North America. Snapper also advises on mid-stream and down-stream energy projects such as crude storage and export terminals.
Snapper also makes strategic principal investments on an opportunistic basis. The founders, Chris and Rohit, have had success with investments in projects ranging from Gas-to-Methanol on the Gulf Coast, a behind-the-meter solar portfolio in MA, and most recently as co-founders of a grid scale solar developer in Texas focused on serving urban load. Their latest venture, AP Solar, has so far raised over $1.5bn to finance construction of a 1.5 GWac portfolio in and around Houston.
