TEA/Santee Cooper RFP – Firm Capacity and Energy 2024-2028

NAEMA is posting this RFP on behalf of our member TEA and their client Santee Cooper.

Santee Cooper (SC), also known officially as the South Carolina Public Service Authority, is South Carolina’s state-owned electric and water utility headquartered in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.   Santee Cooper provides the primary source of electricity for approximately 2 million people in all 46 counties of South Carolina, including more than 200,000 residential and commercial customers directly in Berkely, Georgetown, and Horry counties.   Santee Cooper also supplies electricity to state’s electric cooperatives through Central Electric Power Cooperative, Inc.

Santee Cooper is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to assist in meeting specific load growth expectations in their service territory starting January 1, 2024. Santee Cooper is requesting proposals for firm capacity and energy from all dispatchable resources for delivery to its load in the Santee Cooper balancing authority.

As a trusted public power affiliate, The Energy Authority (TEA) is the administrator of this Request for Proposals (RFP).
