The below RFIP information is posted at the request of the Western Area Power Administration – Upper Great Plains Region.
Western Area Power Administration – Upper Great Plains Region (WAPA) is distributing this Request for Indicative Proposals (RFIP) for WAPA to purchase On-Peak Daily Fixed Price Day-Ahead Energy at the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) North Hub or the WAUE.FSE Node, via the SPP Bilateral Settlement Schedule (BSS) Process, from January 1, 2022, through February 28, 2022, during all on-peak hours (CPT) for the two-month period. Following a review of the Indicative Proposals received in response to this RFIP, WAPA will select one or more suppliers for negotiations or issue a more refined request for proposals. Should WAPA engage in direct negotiations with one of more suppliers as a result of this RFIP, material changes in price or non-price terms and conditions may result in a supplier’s elimination from further consideration. This RFIP is open only to SPP Market Participants, as proposals must include the delivery of energy through the SPP BSS Process.
Indicative proposals must be electronically submitted by 3 pm MST on December 10, 2021, to UGPEnergyRFIP@wapa.gov. Please reference RFP #: UGP02300, in the subject line of the email.
